Tips for Responsible Play
Follow these guidelines to make sure gaming stays fun and under control:
- Set a strict budget before you start — decide how much you can afford to spend and stick to it.
- Treat any winnings as a bonus, not as income you were counting on.
- Take regular breaks — step away from the screen every 30-60 minutes for a clear head.
- Never gamble while under the influence of alcohol or when feeling emotionally distressed.
- Balance gaming with other hobbies, family time, and social activities in Dhaka or wherever you are in Bangladesh.
Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can develop gradually and is not always easy to recognise in yourself. It affects people across all backgrounds — from Dhaka to Chittagong, Sylhet to Khulna. Being aware of the early warning signs is the first step toward getting things back on track.
Seek help immediately if: gambling is causing you financial stress, relationship problems, or affecting your work or studies.
Common signs of problem gambling
- Spending more money or time gambling than you originally planned.
- Feeling restless or irritable when trying to cut down or stop gambling.
- Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund your gambling.
- Lying to family or friends about how much you gamble or spend.
- Chasing losses — increasing bet sizes to try to win back money you have lost.
- Neglecting personal responsibilities, work, or health because of gambling.
If you recognise any of these signs in yourself or someone you care about, please do not wait. Contact our support team or a professional helpline right away. You are not alone, and help is available.
Using pl999 Responsible Gaming Tools
pl999 gives every registered player direct access to a set of practical tools designed to help maintain healthy gaming habits. Here is how each one works and how to activate it.
Deposit Limits in Detail
You can request a daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limit on your pl999 account. Once a limit is set, it takes effect immediately. If you wish to increase a limit, a mandatory cooling-off period applies to ensure you have enough time to reconsider. Limits can be decreased at any time without delay. To set a deposit limit, email our support team with the limit amount in BDT and the period you want it to cover.
Time-Out and Session Breaks
A time-out temporarily suspends your account, preventing you from placing bets or accessing the casino during the chosen period. Available durations are 24 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. The time-out begins the moment your request is processed. This tool is ideal if you feel you need a short pause to reset but do not want to permanently close your account.
Self-Exclusion Programme
Self-exclusion is a more comprehensive option for players who feel they need a longer period away from gambling. You can choose a fixed exclusion period of 6 months, 1 year, or 2 years, or opt for a permanent exclusion. During this time, your account will be locked, all marketing communications will be stopped, and you will not be able to reopen your account until the exclusion period has ended. For permanent exclusions, the account is closed with no possibility of reopening. Contact [email protected] to start the process.
Reality Checks
pl999 recommends that all players regularly check their account history to review the time and money spent on gaming. You can request a full summary of your activity — deposits, withdrawals, bets placed, and session durations — at any time by contacting support. Staying aware of your actual spending patterns is one of the most effective ways to keep gaming in check.
